About Us
Located at "the Cove", in Upper Economy, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Four Seasons Retreat with 1400 feet of ocean frontage and 30 acres of property, is made up of 12 fully equipped one, two, three and four bedroom cottages, each surrounded on three sides by birch, fir and spruce woods. Each of our cottages contains a fully equipped kitchen. There is an airtight wood stove, but the cottages are electrically heated for those chilly mornings.
Cobequid Bay is in full view in the front yard with 2 tidal viewing platforms and stairs down to the ocean floor to explore at low tide which goes out about 1 1/2 km.
Four Seasons Retreat is Nova Scotia's only resort at the site of the highest tides in the world. Tide heights vary at different locations along the Bay of Fundy, we are at the location where they are the highest. The highest tidal range recorded on Earth - over 16 meters - has been measured in the east-west arm of the bay, the Minas Basin, at a line from Burntcoat Head to Economy Point.

The only cottage resort located within the recently named Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark, that runs along the Minas Basin of the Bay of Fundy from Truro to West Advocate.
Four Seasons Retreat is open year round, offering a wide variety of activities in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
The spring brings fresh and saltwater fishing for such species as salmon, trout and striped bass, or" striper". Summer is the best time of the year for beach combing, clam digging or just relaxing by the pool or soaking in the hot tub.
In the Autumn, Mother Nature splashes our shore with rich hues of red and gold. Come and hike the many colourful trails nearby.
Have you ever skied cross country? You can during the Winter. We are minutes from trails and are only minutes from Five Islands Provincial Park cross country trails, or 30 minutes from Ski Wentworth, Nova Scotia's best down hill ski slopes. Or just spend some quality time curled up in front of the fire.
